Good Friday. Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ

Massimo Palombella

Bramantino, Crucifixion 1510-1512 ca (Pinacoteca di Brera a Milano)

In today’s Liturgical Action, the Roman Liturgy historically features the Passion according to John.

The polyphonic parts from the aforementioned Passion in the attached music are by Tomás Luis de Victoria and come from the Officium Hebdomadæ Sanctæ published in Rome in 1585 at the typography by Angelo Gardano.

The live interpretation is by the Musical Chapel of the Milan Cathedral at the Concert Τετέλεσται (Tetelestai) held at the Milan Auditorium on 3 April 2023 (https://youtu.be/gLWvFvOQytw).

A blessed Good Friday and heartfelt greetings.
